SOLO VIOLINIST / CONCERTMASTER / COMPOSER / ARRANGER

Mr. Yervinyan has performed in solo recitas and with orchestras around the world in concerts featuring such renowned musician as Yanni. The American Federation of Musicians acknowledges him to be a "violinist of extraordinary ability, as demonstrated by sustained international acclaim." His classical repertoire includes such works as Back's Adagio & Fugue in G Minor, Mozart's Violin Concert No. 5 in A. Paganini's Caprice No. 21 in A. Sarasate's Gypsy Melodies, Eugine Isa's Sonata No. 3 the "Ballada," and selections from Gershwin's Porgy & Bess.

As a renowned violinist, Mr. Yervinyan was invited to perform for many dignitaries. On one occasion he performed as a soloist in a concert held for the Presidents of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

Mr. Yervinyan is also skilled with composition, arrangement, and improvisation in many styles. He has extensive experience with recording process in a variety of contexts as an individual musician and as an arranger.

1991 - 1993 PhD from Komitas State Conservatory of Armenia - Master Violinist

1984 - 1987 BA from Komitas State Conservatory of Armenia - specializing in violin

1980 - 1984 Tchaikovsky Music School, Yerevan - Specializing in violin (tutor Edward Dayan, a student of David Oystrach)

1971 - 1980 Spendariyan Music School, Yerevan, Armenia (tutor Armen Minasyan)

PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS

2008 Participated in the International Armenian Festival "Karot", Moscow, Russia.

2007 Recognized as Best Musician at the King Cultural Production Armenian Golden Star Awards.

2004 Winner of the Big Apple Music Awards, New York.

1995 - Present Has composed original pieces for the violin, arranged and recorded several CDs.

1988 - 1995 Has taught violin for beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes based on Stolyarsky's Awer's, Yampoisky's and Ferrara's renowned methodology, coupled with his own research and mastery in violin technique and musicality, working with students aged 7 to 25, many of whom are now working in various orechestras around the world are soloists and are activ1984-91e in teaching.

1986-1988 Concertmaster of Yerevan Conservatory Chamber Orchestra performing through the world. Numerous appearances on Armenian Television and Radio guest appearances on Armenian State Jazz Band and Armenian State Theater.

1980 Debuted at age 14 with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra as a soloist in Henry Vietan's violin concert No. 2.

1971-1980 Won first prize in Armenian State Violin Competition for seven consecutive years.
